This is the lab blog for Drexel University ENGR 103 - 068 Group 5. The goal of the lab is to create an LED luminaire that can be programmed to subtly add or remove colored ambient light to match daylight. Our primary goals are to design and construct the electronics of the light, and to program the lighting system. Group 5 consists of Mark Cardish, Kevin Lubinski, and Devin McGinty. Group 5 is working alongside Group 6 towards a final deliverable.

Week 7/8 Recap
The past several weeks have been quite busy. A lot of time has been spent in the lab working with the parts to make the last dash to finish the project. However, there have been several setbacks. The MOSfets have been uncooperative to say the least; only one worked properly and one sparked a little when used. To hopefully remedy this problem, we have purchased new MOSfets that can handle a higher current and should not experience the same problems as the old ones. Much time has been spent on the paperwork part of the lab recently because the final report draft was due and the mock presentation will also be due soon. These will continue to be updated until the final week of the project as advancements are made on the project. There is still much work to be done, but we plan to buckle down and get in the lab whenever possible to try to get the project finished in time to present.
