This is the lab blog for Drexel University ENGR 103 - 068 Group 5. The goal of the lab is to create an LED luminaire that can be programmed to subtly add or remove colored ambient light to match daylight. Our primary goals are to design and construct the electronics of the light, and to program the lighting system. Group 5 consists of Mark Cardish, Kevin Lubinski, and Devin McGinty. Group 5 is working alongside Group 6 towards a final deliverable.

Week 6 Post
First
thing we did this week was to go to the ECE Lab and pick up some supplies, such
as resistors and switches. Then we went over to Hess to continue working. Once
there, the computer ATX power supply was taken apart to be used as a lab power
supply for the LED’s. However, the ATX was not working, as we were warned, and
we will be picking up a new one, or several, later in the week. A small set of
LED’s were connected to the breadboards and wiring late last week, and we
continued making more identical to the first because we could not test properly
without the power supply. Sample coding was also found that we plan to base our
coding on, but a working power supply will be needed before we can test our
coding.

Did the LEDs arrive?
ReplyDeleteMore visuals would be helpful, too.
